KMA - Kentucky Medication Aide State Exam

Kentucky Medication Aide Exam

This exam is for students who successfully completed the KMA100 class at Ashland
Community & Technical College.  This reserves your testing date (pending approval and payment).

Once we receive this registration, we will post the testing charge to your student account (unless a facility is paying for your exam) and
send you a confirmation email. 

If you are not an ACTC or KCTCS student please email robin.harris@kctcs.edu to find
out the process for payment.

If you are self-pay, once you receive the confirmation email that the testing charge has been posted, you will need
to go to a cashier window at either the College Drive Campus or the Technology Drive Campus
to pay for your exam. 



  • If you are an ACTC student, you will not be able to register
    for the KMA Exam if you have not paid for your KMA Class in full.

  • You MUST Pre-Register and Pre-Pay (if you are a self-pay) for this exam. Students who are
    paying for their own test will be asked to show proof of payment on test day. 

PROOF OF PAYMENTA copy of one of the following MUST be submitted on test day or you will not be able to test!

  1. Copy of Receipt of Payment from ACTC Cashier/Business Office
  2. A letter of intent to pay from your employer or another organization (on their letterhead or in an email) stating they will be paying for your exam.

What Types of Payment Are Accepted?

Cash or card payments only in person on campus before exam (or morning of) date.
No Checks accepted for testing fees

What if my employer or another agency is paying for the exam?
If a third party is paying for your exam, you MUST SUBMIT A THIRD PARTY LETTER by email
or fax to Robin Harris at:

Important Information/Required Documentation

On test day, you MUST be able to present the following documentation to the test administrator:

  • Picture ID (Driver’s License or other state-issued picture ID)

Cancellation Policy

You must cancel in writing at least 24 hours prior to the test date.  Failure to cancel could
result in charges remaining on your account with Ashland Community & Technical College.
